Trevor Hrynyk and co-author Frank Vecchio have been selected by the Structural Engineering Institute to receive the 2018 Raymond C. Reese Research Prize awarded by the American Society of Civil Engineering for their paper titled “Modeling of Steel-Concrete Composite Elements under In-Plane and Out-of-Plane Loads” and published in the ASCE Journal of Structural Engineering in October 2016. The Raymond C. Reese Research Prize is awarded to the author or authors of a paper in a print issue of an ASCE journal that describes a notable achievement in research related to structural engineering and indicates how the research can be used.
